If you have a child attending Midvale or Lincoln Elementary Schools, you are automatically a member of the Midvale-Lincoln School Community Organization (SCO).  No dues are required. We are simply a group of caregivers who want to find ways to meet the needs of all of our students. We plan community-building events, organize volunteers to help teachers and staff, keep our fellow caregivers informed about district-wide and educational trends and raise money to support all of our classrooms.

The Midvale- Lincoln SCO is currently recruiting board members for the 2025-26 school year. The SCO board is a fantastic way to get involved in your school community! There are a variety of roles available with varying time commitments.

Translate SCO Materials
All communications that go out from the SCO need to be translated to Spanish.  We are always looking for people to help with translation! If interested, please sign up here.
Classroom Help
There are many ways for you to help Midvale/Lincoln - both from home on your own time and during the day at one of the schools. Occasionally the SCO receives requests for parent helpers in the classrooms or to help school staff with short term projects. All Classroom Volunteers must complete the MMSD Volunteer Training.
Midvale Gardens
Midvale school has a beautiful garden spaces that are used through the school year to educate and inspire our students. A little time from you can keep them functioning and beautiful.
Become a tutor through Schools of Hope
Schools of Hope needs tutors at Midvale and Lincoln Elementary schools who are willing to:
  • Tutor children in literacy, with materials provided by school staff
  • Commit to at least one hour per week on a consistent basis for at least one academic semester.
  • Be placed between the hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm, based on availability.

The Midvale-Lincoln SCO runs an annual Direct Appeal to our community as the primary fundraiser of the Midvale-Lincoln School Community Organization (SCO). By directly appealing to our community we can avoid the candy bar and magazine sales, and you can feel good about knowing ALL of your money is going directly where it is needed most.
